Mom Got a Robe

If you haven't seen this SNL skit,  I recommend it for a good laugh and a cautionary tale all at once. 

Here are the steps to NOT get a robe for Christmas, unless you actually want a robe. 

1. Figure out what you actually want. 

2. Ask for it, including texting links as needed. 

3. If you don't believe #2 will work, buy it yourself. Wrapping optional. 

4. Drop the thought "but if I have to think of it and ask for it, is it really still a gift?". It's better than a flat, empty stocking or a robe you don't want, right!?

PS   Asking for the gifts you'd like for Christmas, your birthday, etc, is good practice for asking for what you want in other areas of your life as well!
