Choose How You Want to Feel
Before we start the slide into holiday madness, I want to remind you that holiday madness is totally optional.
What if, instead of feeling stressed, overwhelmed, and annoyed you were able to feel
❄️Calm
❄️Peaceful
❄️Excited
❄️Present
❄️Grateful
You don’t have to feel overwhelmed because it’s almost December, for example. You don’t have to feel frantic because your boss is pressuring the team to make the year end goals. You don’t have to feel guilty because your child wants a Christmas gift you can’t find or afford.
Our feelings are always caused by our own thinking - not the date on the calendar, or our boss, or our children.
A thought like “I'm never going to get everything done" will never create a feeling of calm and present.
Instead try a thought like “I know what to do next” or "I'll get as much done as I can in the next hour and then I'm going to relax"
