You want people to like you

You get an invite to a party that you don’t want to attend. Someone at work asks you to cover for her, again. You plan a special outing for your kids, and instead of saying thank you, they ask you to buy them something from the gift shop.

You want to say no. But instead you say yes.

“It’s just easier to say yes. I don’t want anyone to be upset with me. I want people to like me” you think to yourself.

BUT!

❇️Saying yes doesn’t guarantee that they will like you.

❇️Saying no doesn’t guarantee that they won’t.

❇️Maybe they already don’t like you.

❇️Maybe they’ll always like you.

You simply cannot control if someone likes you or not. Instead, focus on liking yourself. Be truthful with your answer, and feel good about YOU.

PS You don’t like everyone. No one likes everyone! So why do you need “everyone” to like you?

PPS Would you like help with saying no and letting go of what people think? I can help. Message me about a time to talk.
