Ep #17: How to Feel Your Feelings (& Why You Should)
episode summary
Let's talk about our feelings!
If that makes you want to run away, I get it. I used to not want to talk about my feelings either. But not feeling our feelings cuts us off from information about our lives, makes it hard to connect with others, and ultimately robs us of joy.
In this episode we'll talk about why we should feel our feelings, and how to do that if it doesn't come naturally to you. I have some great tools for you that will help you navigate and deal with your emotions more effectively.
Our emotions, if we're paying attention, can offer us a wealth of insights. Come along with me on this enlightening journey!

Hey, I'm Michelle Gauthier and you're listening to the Overwhelmed Working Woman podcast. Hey, friends, I'm so glad you're here with me today. Today, we're going to be talking about feelings. If the idea of talking about that makes you want to run and hide, go ahead and stay, because that means this episode is probably just especially for you. I'm going to tell you why it's important to feel all of our emotions and how to do that if that's something that doesn't come naturally to you, like it used to not come naturally to me. Before we jump into that, though, I have a couple of things to share. One is that I currently have one-on-one coaching spots open. If you have been thinking about it and have gotten good results in your life just from listening to this podcast, coaching with me is like that on steroids. There's a link in the show notes where you can set up a consultation with me to learn more about coaching. Let me tell you a little bit about what we do in that consultation, because people often say to me I'm nervous to set up a time to meet with you because I want to get my life together before I start coaching. That's like getting in shape before you join a gym, or they also get nervous because I think it's going to be a really high-pressure situation. Here's what I can say: Just come as you are right now. We will have a zero-pressure conversation where you can tell me about your life and I'll tell you about how we would approach what's going on with you in coaching. I'll tell you about some of the tools I would use and how we would work together to make your life feel much less stressful and overwhelming so that you can enjoy it more. That's it no pressure, no need to be together for it. If you are overwhelmed, I would love to talk to you. The link is in the show notes.
