Me + Ikea + Outsourcing = LOVE
A few weeks ago, I wrote a post about outsourcing as a means of taking things off your plate that you don't enjoy, but need to do. I am obsessed with organizing and spent a ton of time and (joyful!) effort designing closets from Ikea for our new home. But when it came time to pick up my Ikea order and put it together . . . well I just couldn't muster the energy to get that done.
Lo and behold, with a quick google search I found a woman who owns her own company and all she does is PUT TOGETHER IKEA FURNITURE! She's a single mom and former engineer and her website said that she has a passion for putting together furniture. We were a match made in heaven. She picked up my order, delivered it, helped me think through options, and put 5 BEAUTIFUL closets together in 2 days time. I can only imagine how many days it would have taken me! It was worth every single cent I paid her. And as a bonus, she is a lovely person and fellow adoptive mom. She is working in her zone of of genius, so you can tell she's happy at work.
What's the best thing you've ever outsourced?
