First Pancake Theory

When you make pancakes, the first one is always the worst one. It’s a blob, undercooked in the middle and burned on the edges.

But, by the time you get to the end of the batch you are probably cooking perfectly golden, round, crisp on the edges, soft in the middle, pretty-enough-to-post-a-photo pancakes.

But you can’t get to the golden perfect circle pancake until you’ve made the blob.

Starting something new is always going to be a little wonky, but go ahead and get started anyway. Your golden pancake is just around the corner. Just keep going in whatever imperfect way it takes.

PS  If you have a teenage boy, you don’t even have to throw away the blob pancake. He’ll eat it.  🥞
