Dear End-of-Summer You,
It’s fine to be bummed that summer is over. It’s okay if you’ll miss the freedom of summer schedules (even if you hated it sometimes and kind of can’t wait for a normal routine).
Quit trying to talk yourself out of being sad about it. It’s just fine to feel however you feel. In fact, feelings actually pass more quickly if you acknowledge and name them.
It’s fine to do less than usual. It’s normal to be tired. It’s best not to beat yourself up.
Yes, your kids are getting older. Yes, it goes too fast. Yes, that’s sad. It's okay (and healthy) to feel your feelings!
