Review: 2020 PowerSheets Goal Planner

I couldn’t wait to receive and review this PowerSheets Goal Planner! And it did not disappoint. First of all, I am ALWAYS a sucker for pretty packaging and design. Secondly, this is truly a planner for achieving goals. It does have a monthly calendar, but it’s not meant to be used as an agenda. It’s meant to help you get to know yourself, make goals based on that, and then achieve them. Cool concept!

I reviewed the Power Sheets Goal Planner which is $60.

I think Casual Cate, Adaptable Annie, and even Meticulous Molly could benefit from using this. Annie and Molly may need to supplement by keeping a more detailed calendar on their phones or another planner, though.

  1. Approach: This planner is different! It has a monthly spread as you can see at right, but it also truly focuses on what goals and action items you have for the month. It includes a “tending list” of items to work on.

  2. Gratitude: The end of month review starts with “A content life happens when we cultivate gratitude” and has 8 gratitude questions. It also has space for “what I am saying NO to” which I love!

  3. Seasons: Each season has a checklist, a goal refresh, and a word for the season. For example Spring has you consider what to declutter in your physical space, your social media, your heart, and your decision making.

Knowing YOU: There is an 8 page section at the beginning of this planner that is all about getting to know yourself so that you can plan goals and a life that works for YOU. I’ve never seen that approach before and I love it! The page below is one sample of many.

 1. Yearly - There is not one page that shows the entire year’s calendar together. It’s by month.

2. Weekly or Daily - There is not a week or daily view. This is not the sort of planner where you could keep all of your meetings, activities, etc.

3. Binding - I personally don’t love spiral bound planners, I think they are too bulky to throw in a purse. Although to be fair, this is probably the type of planner you keep at home or on a desk vs. carrying everywhere.
